Bek Ashby takes her membership in the South Kitsap community seriously and believes in giving back to her community. Born and raised in South Kitsap, Bek has dedicated her life to her family and community.

Working full-time and raising two children as a single mother, she balanced her career and family responsibilities. Bek completed a rewarding career in community banking, retiring as President and CEO of Silverdale State Bank.  She is completing her first term as a City Council member.

Commitment to Family

In addition, Bek supported her children’s activities as President of both South Kitsap Western Little League and the South Kitsap Pony Colt baseball organization. She is proud of the accomplishments of the South Kitsap Relay for Life while she headed the event.  Her ability to bring people together for a common cause was highlighted by the event’s success.

Her spare time is filled playing with her grandchildren, golfing local courses, kayaking (she especially likes Yellowstone Lake,) fly fishing, walking half marathons or hiking in the Olympic National Park.
